THE DAILY M
OFFICIAL LAUNCHING
Thanks to my cousin Jon who has motivated me to start this newsletter. We were chatting about my website Mworld>>>> and how to make it better which made me think about The Daily M. I told him about it and he liked the idea.

Jon and I grew up together- going to MYF, A's games, graduated together from SLHS. Its always great catching up and talking about the randomness of life with people you can really trust. Whenever we do talk, we inevitably get into a crazy conversation about God and church.

Thanks Jon for being a buddy and an inspiration!

I've finally got my act together and starting building this newsletter on june 21,2005 and here we are with the official launching. Hopefully, I'll be able to send out new issues every month of the "exciting" life of myself and those around me lead. If you'd like me to post something please email me because your suggests are always welcomed.

CCUMC Family Retreat 2k5

Happy July 4th!
This year's CCUMC Family Retreat was held at Camp Lodestar in Wilseyville, CA. The theme was The Amazing Race- ie our amazing race with God. Since we had a smaller group of about 30, the retreat planners decided to go with a small group format. We broke the retreat up into 3 sessions- faith, journey, obstacles & pressing on. Each session consisted of worship, questions and a group activity. We made graphed our faith, made baskets from newspaper, and of course we had to have skits! Free time was wonderful and action packed. Bocce Ball and some 9x9 domino games were a hit. Some of the kids guided by Brenda went swimming. PTL- with all the prayers the weather held up and the sun shined just enough for our retreat to be comfortable. The food was hand picked by the planners and it was delicious! Its was a very memorable family retreat!

Finally! This is my third Fourth of July since living at my apartment in the PPP building and now I can say that I've finally seen the firework celebrations from my window. Last year we went to SF Embarcadero, but we absolutely missed it due to a bad viewing location. So I saw my first SF Synchronize fireworks from the comforts of home. Mind you they were tiny but it was still cool. We (R+S, M+C) also saw marin county fair's and the wonderful (+recommended) Berkeley Marina- especially up close!

There are lots of nice farm animals to check out like pigs, sheep, chickens, rabbits. Some crazy rides to try out. The best part- being outside and getting some good ole sunshine!

First of all, I read the book first and I thought it was pretty funny. Seeing it acted out..well let's just say the action was good, the story was good, and the actors looked better than they acted. There were some quirky spots where I thought the book described the scene better. It might be worth checking out the first version of the movie (1941)-- B
Movie cartoons have never really been my thing, but there's really a comeback w/ Pixar and Dreamworks Studios. Madagascar had a super funny trailer and the movie itself was definitely worth watching. Everyone around me was having a blast. At one point we were laughing so hard tears came out. The voices matched the characters well-- A
