Bento is a fine
group of asian american boys who sing about love and the journey
of music. They play a catchy mix of pop and rock with some nice
guitar solos. First time I heard them was just outside CCUMC after
church during the Oakland Streetfest- rooster year. They were
playing on the bandstand and many people stopped to listen.

Okay, Okay. I'm
not a big American Idol fan. However, I give this girl props. She's
made it big. Lots of hit songs, she's key for some soundtracks,
and Miss Clarkson really did a great closing act for MTV Video Music
Awards 2005. She didn't exactly sing that well but she rocked the
crowd by moshing with them and getting totally drenched by the water
fountains they had all over the stage area.

Arcade Fire is
a group for the rockers out there. If you like Live 105 and the
latest fad in rock groups then you'll like these guys (pls one gal).
Only thing is they aren't really that well known yet. They have
one or two hit songs that are played on the radio but they still
do pretty small venue type concerts like at UC Berkeley. Some still
consider them part of the indie rock genre of music.
